(Special Dispatch)

PEARL, Jan. 16—Fire this afternoon destroyed the Rene Hazelton house in the lower town. The building, which was occupied by James E. Head and family, is a complete loss, together with its contents, the total value being about $800, with no insurance.

Snow here lies to a depth of three feet on the level. The storm last night was terrific. Wind blew a gale.
